WINTER LEAGUES ’19-’20:

HS BoysMS Boys10U/12U Boys

Come see what all the excitement is about! Indoor lacrosse, played in a hockey-rink sized arena, is a great way to work on your game. If you’ve never played indoor, this is a great place to start. If you’re an experienced indoor player then you know how action-packed the game is! SixFifty Lacrosse is excited to partner with The Sportshouse in Redwood City to provide indoor lacrosse leagues for High School boys, Middle School Boys, and Boys 10U/12U.

Why Box Lacrosse will get you better, faster:

  1. Stickwork, stickwork, stickwork! Smaller field, fewer players, no out-of-bounds = more reps and touches on the ball.
  2. Smaller goals teaches better shooting accuracy and efficiency.
  3. Short sticks only, all players play offense and defense, and relentless fast-breaks = improved Lacrosse IQ (game sense)

“I believe that box lacrosse gives young people many more opportunities to excel in our game. If I had my choice, I would have every player under the age of twelve play box lacrosse exclusively or at least a majority of the time. The number of touches of the ball and the ability to develop better stick skills in a game of box lacrosse far surpasses what happens to young people on a 110×60 yard field. Learning how to pass and catch in traffic, understanding how to shoot, and developing a sense of physicality are all positive traits developed by the box game. If I was U.S. Lacrosse, I wouldn’t let any kids play field until they were 10 or 12.” – National Champion Princeton/Denver coach, Bill Tierney
